Who I am:
Local musician (TURLOCK/MODESTO), classically trained violinist, music tutor for beginning and intermediate violin players, community volunteer and perform artist.
Violin instruction for all level of solo players, performance consultations and preparation, and tutoring for symphonic and ensemble techniques
What You’ll Learn:
Curriculum includes essential classical violin techniques, as well as techniques for folk music (fiddle) and world music genres.
Students are guided through techniques, and curriculum advances at the pace of students’ demonstrated mastery of skills.
Exposure to essential classical music repertoire by means of teaching active listening skills.
Development of solfege, aural analysis and sight-singing to produce capable and artistically responsible solo and ensemble players.

11 years teaching experience Teaching in private lessons environment, leadership in classroom setting for local charter schools, as well as student teaching and student conducting at Modesto Junior College. Students can expect the opportunity to learn skills that will prepare them to participate in school orchestras and youth symphonies at the Junior High, High School, and Early College levels, to compete in local solo competitions/performance opportunities, and to prepare them to continue their music education with advanced apprenticeships and studies from local symphonic players and music professionals.
